Pizza Disclaimer
First of all, I have tried so many gluten free pizza crusts. I like Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust. It always turns out, it cooks well, and it cooks through. I have tried 7-8 other kinds, but I always make my way back to Bob’s.
STEP 1 – Bob’s Gluten Free Pizza Dough
The recipe for Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix is on the bag. Please prepare exactly as printed.
Let the dough rise at least 30 minutes in a covered warm area.
STEP 2 – Momsypoo’s pizza sauce
Drizzle olive oil in a 10 inch skillet add garlic and fry. Your family will start arriving to see what the incredible smell is.
Add tomato sauce. WATCH OUT! Sauce might splatter.
Add dried basil and black pepper.
No need to keep sauce hot as it will heat on pizza. Sauce can be made up to a day early.
STEP 3 – Bake dough on a cookie sheet covered with a silicon, baking mat
Drizzle just a bit of olive oil on the mat. Grab a fist full of dough and the fun starts. Drape plastic wrap over the dough and push the dough into a ball. Flatten out dough by pushing with the palm of your hand. (I find that I like thick dough. ¼ inch thick dough will rise as it bakes) Remove plastic wrap and drizzle just a bit more olive oil on top of dough.
STEP 4 – Put dough in oven for 7 minutes.
Bob’s needs to be precooked. If you do not pre bake the dough, it has a tendency to be undercooked. Yes! I did that! Please pre bake the dough with no pizza ingredients on it for the full 7 minutes. This allows the dough to fully bake inside and be tender and very flavorful.
STEP 5 – Make your pizza
We all enjoy different flavors on our pizza. I make small pizzas so that everyone can add what they like on theirs. Spoon sauce on prepared crust add cheese and load up on whatever you like best.
–salami
–smoked oysters
–smoked mussels
– tomato
–onion
–black olives
–anchovies
OR…. Anything you would like to try
STEP 6 – Place pizza back in oven
Place pizza back in oven for another 7-10 minutes. Keep watch so it doesn’t burn. After removing from oven, leave on pan 10 minutes before cutting so flavors to blend. Cut and enjoy. Careful! Pizza is hot!
Remember, you are free to add anything on the pizza. Try something new and fun. Take pictures and send them in for all to see. Now go enjoy your pizza!
See ya soon!
